Rytų dvikovos statusas T sritis Kūno kultūra ir sportas apibrėžtis Kūno kultūros ir sporto sudedamoji dalis, kurios paskirtis skatinti individo socializaciją per dorovinį ugdymą, stiprinti sveikatą, fiziškai ir psichiškai lavinti, mokyti apsiginti. Sudėtingame Rytų dvikovos moksle skiriami taikomojo sporto (savigynos) ir sveikatos stiprinimo aspektai. Rytų dvikovos filosofinis pagrindas – budizmo, daosizmo ir konfucianizmo teiginiai apie asmenybės, visuomenės ir gamtos harmoniją, asmenybės dorovingumą. Dabar Kinijoje, Japonijoje, Korėjoje yra per 200 Rytų dvikovos stilių, krypčių ir mokyklų. Populiariausi šie: ↑ušu, ↑karatė, ↑tekvondo, ↑dziudo, ↑džiudžitsu, ↑aikido, tesondo, hapkido, kendo, hvarango.
